Financial Statements

Hello! We just released our financials!

Fun stuff, we know… :) Nonetheless, we are excited to share what we have received, and show off what we’ve accomplished with it. We are so grateful for this miracle - the money received, and how far it has taken us. Every one of you who has supported in one way or another (financial, time/energy, emotional, etc.) - you know who you are, and we are keenly aware of and grateful for your support.

For help getting sleepy - the details:

Autism Resource Guide, nonprofit, was born February 3, 2023. We are a few months into our 2nd year! This February date is the start of our fiscal year. Since this is so close to the calendar year, we have simplified the charts to represent the year mostly covered in it. Example: when you see the chart for, say 2023, that represents our fiscal year February 2023 - February 2024.

(If you notice the first conference was in Fall 2022 - that was done simply as a member of the community, and it was that following February 2023 we officially started the nonprofit adventure).

As you notice income reported for one year- note that some of the income, such as grants, may very likely have be given to cover something, such as a specific event - taking place the following fiscal year. For instance, we received a $5,000 grant from SEMAC during fiscal year 2024, and it is specifically for AutFest taking place September 2025.

You will also notice much higher expenses initially. Say hello to start-up costs! If you’ve started a business, you get it. A few of our specifics: establishing the guidebook online (quite the task!), all the equipment - from technology required to host in-person/virtual conferences, to the tables and chairs, activities for Family Fun Day, and more. We have combined that many of those expenses have been one-timers (via significant private and board member donations/contributions) and our experience along this journey, and turned Autism Resource Guide into an even greater efficiency/effectiveness machine.

Note there is no category for paid staff. We are hopeful that as we grow, we can receive the funds to have paid staff that will drastically increase what we are able to do for our community. In the meantime, the vast majority of the hours completed for Autism Resource Guide are straight up volunteer. We are also blessed with the opportunity to receive support from individuals willing to donate and/or discount their services for us, and in-kind donations. On top of this we are continually learning how to do as much in-house as possible. (Looking at the IT expenses, subscriptions - a portion is to cover the software required, saving us the otherwise restrictive outsourcing costs.) When you see the numbers don’t add up- these are some of the things, along with magical fairy dust, that make up the difference for Autism Resource Guide to keep providing these services for our community.

The heart of it:

Thank you so much for bridging this gap - you are truly making it possible for us to continue our work, and as allowed- grow to serve more families and in more ways. We are so excited to see where our adventure takes us in serving our special needs community.

Our sincerest gratitude,

ARG Board:
Joshua, Valerie, Veronica, and Michele
