I work with families nationwide that have a dependent with special needs. I provide guidance on overall planning for their loved ones – legal, financial, government benefits etc. I educate families on ABLE accounts, Special Needs Trusts, government benefits that may be available to them now or in the future and ways they can protect their loved ones and create efficiency with an overall financial plan. I have a 7 year old with a genetic condition and this topic is near and dear to my heart.
As I engage with a family, I help them develop a roadmap for the future. Depending on the need, I help families with coordination of special needs trust, guardianship, estimating future cost of care, benefits that they may qualify for. I can provide referrals to special needs planning attorneys, benefits navigation services etc.
