Circle of Friends Signing School LLC

$0.00

Circle of Friends Signing School is a traveling education program with the mission to empower families and early educators with the skills in sign language that will reduce stress and frustration, while increasing connection, language & social skills, and positive behaviors in their hearing children. I include handouts, materials, ideas, and 30 years of background experience when come to your home or child-related business. My classes involve storytelling, music, movement, and activities along with American Sign Language vocabulary and teaching of age appropriate skills and concepts. Classes are geared to each client's specific needs, and can involve children alone, children with parents/teachers, or multi-family playgroups. Because sign language is visual language, and communication skills can be a struggle for children with autism, signing is often a very useful tool in promoting language and communication skills. (*Please note that my classes are not formal classes in American Sign Language, but instead are communication & concept building classes that incorporate American Sign Language vocabulary along with multiple other activities.*)
