My Books - Getting There Piece By Piece

$0.00

My name is Danielle and my husband's name is Brett. My husband and I write social book for our 4 year old son with autism. He does very well with visuals, so we started these books for him to help with everyday tasks and safety. While we were using these books for him we thought, why not make them available for all to use! Each book is designed like a social story and has spots to put pictures of your child on each page doing what the story is telling. There is a parent reference guide in the book. These books have help our son see himself in the moment with his environment no matter where he is. The books have also helped with his speech because it’s the same story for each of these events and it rhymes! Our hope for these books is to make as many as we need for all the different safety, tasks, and events that our son encounters in his daily life and to help him through it piece by piece.
